Closing This Chapter of Lifestyle Basics

Every brand has a beginning.

Lifestyle Basics started very differently from the brand you know today.

What eventually became a women’s fashion and lifestyle brand began as something much simpler: a back-to-school shop.

Where It Started

When Lifestyle Basics first began, the idea centered on everyday essentials that helped people express themselves at school.

We sold notebooks, paper products, backpacks, accessories, and other back-to-school essentials.

Even then, the idea behind the brand was bigger than the products themselves. We wanted everyday items to feel a little more personal, a little more expressive, and a little more like you.

That idea eventually became the phrase that would continue to define Lifestyle Basics:

Live your life uniquely.

As time went on, the brand grew beyond the classroom.

Growing Beyond Back-to-School

Lifestyle Basics slowly expanded into more everyday lifestyle products and accessories.

The catalog changed. We experimented. We learned what our customers responded to and explored what Lifestyle Basics could become.

Accessories became a larger part of the brand. Bags, jewelry, and statement pieces found their way into the collection.

Some products stayed with us for years.

Our PU Leather Sling Bag, for example, has been one of the oldest remaining pieces in the Lifestyle Basics catalog, dating back to 2020.

Other products, particularly our playful fruit-inspired jewelry, became popular favorites among our customers.

And eventually, Lifestyle Basics began another transformation.

Becoming a Women's Fashion Brand

What started with notebooks, backpacks, and school accessories gradually evolved into fashion.

Bodysuits, clothing, jewelry, bags, and other pieces became the new Lifestyle Basics.

The brand became increasingly centered on women who wanted everyday products that could still express their personality.

Through every version of Lifestyle Basics, we continued experimenting with what the brand could become.

Not every idea worked.

Some products came and went.

Some became best sellers.

Some taught us what we wanted to do differently.

And that experimentation eventually helped us realize something important.

We have reached the end of this version of Lifestyle Basics.

Why This Chapter Is Ending

This decision wasn't made because we stopped believing in the idea behind Lifestyle Basics.

It's actually because we believe the idea deserves more.

The current version of the brand has relied heavily on products created or fulfilled by outside suppliers. While that allowed us to experiment, learn, and build Lifestyle Basics into what it is today, our vision for the future is different.

If we build again, we want to create more of our own products.

We want more original designs.

More intentional collections.

More control over the products carrying our name.

And the resources necessary to properly develop those ideas.

Right now, we are not in the position to give the next version of the brand what it deserves.

Rather than continue to keep Lifestyle Basics open, we have decided to close this chapter.

Our Final Season

Lifestyle Basics will remain open through December 2026.

Instead of disappearing overnight, we want to spend these final months celebrating the brand, clearing our remaining collection, and thanking everyone who became part of the Lifestyle Basics family.

August–September 2026 — The Final Season

This is the beginning of our goodbye.

Our remaining collection will begin transitioning into closing-sale pricing.

Some of our products will receive their first markdowns, while several customer favorites will remain available throughout the final season.

We will not be rebuilding the catalog to keep the store full.

When certain pieces are gone, they may truly be gone.

October 2026 — No Restocks

As we move further into our final season, the collection will begin getting smaller.

Products that sell out will begin disappearing from Lifestyle Basics without being replaced.

Additional markdowns may also be introduced across remaining products.

You'll begin seeing more of the history behind Lifestyle Basics during this period as we look back at the products, ideas, and moments that helped shape the brand.

November 2026 — The Closing Sale

November marks the beginning of our final major clearance.

Remaining inventory will receive deeper markdowns as we approach the end of the year.

Black Friday and the holiday shopping season will become part of our final Lifestyle Basics sale rather than the beginning of another collection.

Quantities will be limited.

No restocks are guaranteed.

All clearance purchases are final sale.

December 2026 — The Final Goodbye

December will be our final month.

Remaining products will receive their final markdowns while we spend the month looking back at the journey from our original back-to-school shop to the brand Lifestyle Basics eventually became.

Then, the doors will close.

But Maybe Not Forever

We don't know yet whether Lifestyle Basics will ever return.

If it does, we don't want to reopen simply because we can.

We want to return because we have something worth returning with.

Maybe that means original jewelry and accessories.

Maybe it means completely original collections.

Maybe the Lifestyle Basics name returns with an entirely new identity.

Or maybe everything we've learned here eventually becomes the foundation of something new.

That decision belongs to another chapter.

For now, we're allowing this one to end.

So, although our store may be closing, we're leaving you with the same words that helped define everything we built:

Maybe someday we'll get to write the next one.
